Instrumental, weird panning?

Here's an instrumental guitar song.

I was wondering if you find it weird to use only two guitars... I mean, the lead guitar is panned hard right and the rhythm hard left. I think the usual approach is to have the sols panned to center and the other guitar L/R but... in a live situation, is it possible? I'm just guessing but I find this way to mix more close to reality? Or am I a complete idiot ?

Opinions? Thoughts? Advices?

This is a really weird sound. You may want to try to have the rhythm guitar tracked twice. One take hard left and the other take hard right. Try putting the lead in the middle or use a stereo delay and do some kind of panning with it to make it sound big.

Hey, that's what i was talking about. Solos are often panned center, right? Well, im gonna try to duplicate the rhythm guitar in order to hav e a more "normal" mix, hahaha Thanks
