Hey guys! Just wondering if I can get a few little tips or pointers! I'm planning an album that I've written myself. It's an instrumental album thus far and have no plans for vocals so i believe I won't need a microphone. What I plan on doing is using MIDI plug-ins and synthesizers to record drums, piano, and synth/strings. To record guitar and bass I will use the Line 6 pod X3. I have Cubase software. Are there any additional equipment/gear I can purchase to make my project sound better or things that I would need?

I don't know if you've done any reading around this site but if not, I reckon the most profitable thing you could do is read past threads. You only need go back a short while, but the question is hard to answer given that in order to know how to make something sound 'better', you have to have something to measure it against, which currently doesn't exist as your album is in the planning stage.
However, a good read of the various debates and arguments should nudge you closer to some of what you might need if you still think you do, as well as some interesting tips and the like.
