Hey man

I'm struggling to install Cakewalk's multi client mpu401 driver in cakewalk 9.
I need to run cakewalk and my korg n5 editor program at the same time so they need to share the mpu401 midi/joystick output on my soundblaster pci128.
Could somebody send me the setup files needed to do this as I think the files I'm using maybe damaged or missing info.
So far I've been able to get the driver to show up in midi devices and instruments(control panel), but the device is "enabled but inactive due to an unknown problem".
Also what is the proper procedure for installing the drivers e.g. removing soundblaster mpu401 e.t.c.

Cheers

A MPU-401 driver is not multiclient as far as I know (mobo onboard or Creatives). So you won't be able to run the two programs at the same time.

And by the way Cakewalk is not the provider of the driver... ;)

I eventually managed to get both programs working together using hubi's loopback.
The mpu401 driver I mentioned in my first post is Cakewalk's own driver supplied with every version of Cakewalk.
It is a multi client driver, but isn't a straight forward install.

You're sure you're not talking about Creative? I don't think Cakewalk are making MIDI drivers....
