Insolating midi pins and power pins on cable

I have modified my midi cable going to the FCB1010 to be able to use phantom power.Since the midi pins are so close to the power pins, whats the best way to isolate them? I don't trust electric tape because it slides down easily.

I would get some small diameter heat shrink

What kind of heating element do you use with head-shrink tubing?

a lighter would work fine if thats all you have

Generaly a heat gun is used but they are expensive (over $100 for most)....
Otherwise a high heat hair dryer will work but takes a little longer.
