ok, heres a question about inputs on a mixing desk. heres the different inputs available on it:

16 inputs incl.:
Eight mono microphone/line inputs
4 stereo line
Two of the stereo inputs also offer mono microphone input capability

now, i understand about the mic-ins and line-ins, but not so sure about the stereo inputs. from a picture, they look familiiar to the back of whats used on my technics amplifier. would these inputs be used for things like cd players/record players etc? basically, what devices use stereo inputs? may be an opbvious question, but not to the simple minded newbie! cheers, steve

I guess they are cinch inputs? They are commonly used for Cd or Dat playuers.

specs

from the specs you have, sounds like your looking at a behringer mixer, or one of the other similarly made mixers.

the "STEREO" channels, i use for things like putting my stereo keyboard, stereo drum machine, and stereo guitar return into the board for mixing.

guess you could also throw CD, tape player or whatever into them also
