I was using my 1680 the other day, and input 3 stopped working. I plugged in a mic, that I know works in any of the other inputs, and set the trim to 9:00, and nothing. No input signal, I cant bounce or assign the signal to any other track. Did I disable it, or did it just quit working? Is there a way to tell?

to get back to 'default' mix settings, you can use a easy routing template. there also is a function to 'initialize' the mixer parameters (switches it back to factory settings).
if the input still doesn't work, it might be a loose connection...

hope this helps...

I read that, and reset it, and it still dosnt work. Where can I send it here in Georgia? How can it be a loose connnection, I think something burnt out, if that is possible. For now, I will just avoid the input #3.

I lost the ability to record on my VS-890 track #1....I think I fried the input when I got a strong peak in the incoming signal, hasn't been right since.

I should get it fixed, but am hesitant about sending it away to a Roland Factory Repair Dude in Seattle or someplace like that.

I have compensated though by assigning the input on #2 to record to track #1 instead. The only time this is a problem is when I want to record my band "live" (I record rehersals for later study + reference). This leaves only 5 inputs instead of 6....For multi-tracking individual tracks though, it still works exactly like it did before "the accident".

Sounds like what happend to my 1680. At least its not one of the xlr inputs. I really use the crap out of those.
