Hi folks....first semi/dumb posting
I own a boss br8 digital recorder...a great little entry level 8 track...no complaints, really. I generally manage
to squeeze in a song per 100mg zip disc, so ok...I guess.
Now a friend of mine would like to play his Roland keyboard along with my korg Triton, and Im wondering what way to
effectively do this best to record simultaneously.
I could split the inputs..or..Send one board left one right. Input via the guitar input?..to get two tracks down?..or how about the midi option?
.......any suggestions as to the best option..appreciated.
......As BR8 owners know..you can only record to two tracks max. and the Br8 was not quite designed for two keyboards..
Thanks all....

Why not record one after the other?

If it's a thing where you want to work off each other than get a small mixer to sub mix with. Your buddy can flip $100.00 for a Behringer MX604 I thinks it's called.
I bought one for my gig stuff to submix. There great. If he says no then tell him he's cheap.

Then you could send the stereo mix to the inputs on the BR8

Hey Ears...I hear you!..yeah makes sense to use my old mixer
and output both to the BR8,(geeze!why did'nt I think of that!) I guess what prompted me to ask the question was also to do with the overload of sound two
jamming mates can produce..carefull input balancing should help.....suppose...I'll put things to the test this weekend.
..THX for pointer.

I had the VS880 now VS1680

My brother has the BR8. It is incredible for the price.
