I have the Yamaha DTXpress electronic drums and I like to buy an amp. It seems to me that the roland kc-100 is a good amp knowing that I play in a small band and I could use the amp to hear my drums and the other musicians(using the monitor entry). Am I right? Are there any flaws in the kc-100?
Thaks for your answers.

The Roland is a decent amp. Any keyboard amp should work well. The main thing is you need a speaker that can handle the low end of the kick and some tweeters to handle the high end of the cymbals/snare. Don't use a bass amp, since it can't cover the high end. I use personally use Peavey amps (decent gear, decent price) for my V-Drums.

If I understand your post, you plan to bring a monitor feed into your stage amp. I would not suggest this. Use the Roland (or whatever) only for your stage volume. Send the signal from your amp to the sound board - this can allow your bandmates to hear your through the monitors and give you a presence in the mains. If you need a monitor signal to hear vocals or other instruments, get a seperate monitor.

Thanks for your answer. The problem is that I can't buy(or have) another amp for the monitor signal.
What is the reference of your amp? Because I don't know anyone who has an KC-100, maybe I will buy yours if it is not too expensive.

I've had my amp for several years but the Peavey keyboard amps had various models KB-60, KB-100 and KB-300 (higher number = more power) I don't remember what the current model lines are. Peaveys run from about $200-$600. York also makes good keyboard amps.

Roland makes an amp system designed specifically for the V-Drum system (it will work will any E-Drums) but it's close to $700.00

Good luck.
