allllll righty... this is what i got... I'm using a fostex mr-8 and a j station to track my guitars, and bass.... then Im exporting that to my pc and using cakewalk guitar tracks to do some editing... im also using fruity loops to create drums tracks.... now heres what I need.... my monitors are hooked up to my mr-8.... the computer speakers Im using are just that; computer speakers.... what would be a decent sound card with 2 balanced main outputs (possibly xlr but not required) and two balanced inputs (once again xlr but not required). I'm looking to use the computer as a medium between my mr-8 and the monitors. Also since im doing editing on the pc I need to recycle those monitors and use them as PC speakers.... a thought?

The Echo Mia has 2 ins and 2 outs, but they're balanced 1/4", not XLR. SPDIF output is also available. I'm pretty happy with my Echo hardware (Layla), so you might want to look into the Mia at http://www.echoaudio.com. Brand new price is typically around $180.
