Hi folks! Just wanted to ask if you had any thoughts on which of these would be better suited for a laptop - for recording on the move.
Indigo I/O or Edirol UA20 (USB). I wonder if the USB has latency problems. Pricewise they're the same ($179), but the Edirol accepts mic/line/guitar and has a MIDI interface as well. Although I don't know if it has phantom power.
On the other hand, I'm sold out on Echo products, having used a Gina for the last 6 years on a desktop.
What do you recommend?

Easy: Indigo.
You'll never know if you're going to get a USB device to work properly on any given computer. I have used a USB device for a short while. While latency wasn't an issue, cracks and pops were. A LOT on my laptop. A few (but any crack is one too many) on my desktop.
USB is fine for midi interfaces but that's about it.
