Hey Guys! Recorded something this New Years. Would really be grateful if you guys could give it a listen and tell me the good and the bad. Arrangement wise, Mix Wise, Anything. I think It'll go long ways in helping me step up my game. Thank you! :D

Nice job man! Sounds good and the video helps to show your process. As far as mix critiques-The vocals might sound a bit dull, like the register you're singing in blends with a lot of the music going on. I would have tried to make them stand out a bit more with some high eq or compression or cut some of the lows. The vocal performance is very good! Not a fan of that ascending/siren type sound that happens a few times. I liked those drums off in the right speaker, cool sound. Enjoyed it, well done.

i think it all sounds good.
during the vox octave part it kind of lost me, like they were not synced perfectly.
the snare sound didn't blow my skirt up. but the rest of the drums worked for me.
very cool composition.

Hey thanks man! :D Yeah, the vocals do get lost at times. I'll keep that in mind during my next song. I may have overdid that riser. Thanks for the review man! They'll help me immensely on my next production! :D

Thanks man. :) I'll tighten the harmonies during my next song. Will work on the snares. Thank you again for your thoughts! :D

From a producer-like point of view, I can absolutely hear a second vocal in the intros that's an octave up but with a ton of delay and panned.

Oh, you actually did something similar half-way through. ha. The lower vocal in sometimes hard to hear. Unclear and low in volume. Your louder vocal sounds great. Perhaps the lower part was at the bottom of your range. I would just rerecord them to get better inflections and clarity during the lowest passages.

Do you record several takes and comp them? I didn't watch the video, but I noticed you're filming yourself singing which prob means one take only. The downside of that is that you aren't getting the best possible takes from each line.

edit: the music sounds great. very good mix. i've been a fan of all the tracks you've posted thus far. great songwriting and vision. hope the comments help

Hey thanks man! :) Yeah, The lower vocal's were a problem. Well, The lower vocals I did in one take. For the higher one's, I did three takes to have more varieties in phrasing and tonalities, thus giving me more to choose from. Thank you for our feedback! I look forward to tackling these mistakes in my next mix! :D

I thought this sounded pretty good.

I might suggest compressing the main vocal just a little bit harder. And give it a high end boost - like above 11K.

The snare is a bit on the thuddy side. I might suggest a boost around 4k-5K.

Hmm. Yeah, The main vocals should have been compressed harder. The low part's didn't cut through the mix that well. Will work on the snare's too, Next time around. Thank you for the advice! :D
