I'm currently looking into a powered mixing board for live sets (as a favour). It's going to be a house board, and the buyer doesn't wanna spend that much (even though she's been spending waaay more renting the equipment). I've been looking into the yorkville micromix series, though behringer is cheaper (and I'm sure she'll pick the cheapest). It'll have to be atleast 8 channels, 250w/speaker (two speakers). the yorkie m810 seems really good, compact (this is a small venue - they don't need much at all), and i just like yorkies.
Does anyone here use a powered soundboard? If so, any input on what you've used or are currently using (even if it's not a yorkie)?

The Yamaha line is worth a look. They seem to perform nicely and reliably. My band uses an older box type powered mixer. It's only 200 watts per side, but does the job when paired up with decent speakers.
