How's it going fellow recordists? I could use some help. Currently I record with a Presonus Firepod (I have a second one but I've yet to install it) and I like it a lot. I use Yorkville YSM1p monitors for mixing. For years now I've been recording myself and others by switching between my Delta 44 soundcard and my computer's Soundblaster Audigy soundcard. For instance, to send audio through the headphones to someone recording vocals, I have to set the playback device to the SB Audigy card in my recording software. If we like the take, I have to go into a menu and switch the playback device to my Yorkville monitors (they're hooked up to my Delta 44 soundcard). As you can see, this gets old and is very tedious. Basically, I'm looking for a new monitoring solution because the headphones I use for tracking have a pretty bulky 1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter and the input on the Boston speakers will eventually loosen up and crap out. Is the Presonus Firepod capable of recieving signals from my computer and playing them back? Can I hook my Yorkville monitors up to the Firepod and mix through it? I also have a Behringer mixer.

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.

The Firepod doesn't have a headphone jack? The Firebox does

It does have a headphone jack, but it only picks up what's being mic'd or plugged into the Firepod.

Yes. That's one of it's basic functions. Read the manual that came with it to figure out how to set it up...
