Hi guys.

Allright so i had Audition 3 for a few years now in my home studio for smaller projects. But latly ive started to record full bands multitracked, and heres my problem. When im mixing i use a few heavy plugins like the SSL 4000 series or the Softube CL Comp. The problem is that when ive thown a few of these plugs in there, the program starts "clipping". i have problems putting effects on it two when im tracking becourse its doing it there two sometimes. Its like it just puts a loud frekvens (Which i cant hear btw) and making the monitors protect or something. You can see on the meter that it is sending a a lot of sound so that it clips. I havent got a clue what to about this, can enyone help.

Btw. my soundcard is alesis 26 i/o.

And sorry for my english.

Thank you

don't use the Waves SSl emulation so can't say for sure but when plug in's start 'dropping out' it tends to be a CPU issue, calculations required by plug in plus everything else start to overrun CPU cycles

now if the issue is 'clipping' as opposed to CPU that is a gain staging issue and you just have to explore how the signals are staged as a rule Comps don't make high demands on CPU so you might look at make up gain as a culprit for clipping

AA3 (back to CEP) premits you to freeze the track, that is (more or less) pre perform the calculations prior to play back to make any changes you have to unfreeze
