I'd avoid the artificial sax (wait, it's harmonica I think) right at the beginning phrase

HEY!! That's supposed to be a fiddle!! Dang!! ROFL!! :D

Wow Gerry. Wow Sound Diagnosis. There is not much more to say, that hasn't already been said. I know there is a lot going on, but it is one damn good busy song. Lee's contribution to an already excellent song, sent it over the edge to #1 HIT.

I think I may have said this of one of your songs before...I have of Freud and Philgood's(who also write awesome love songs)....I hope to live long enough to have someone write me a song filled with so much emotion and love.

Something like this, has got to be the best gift a man could ever give to a woman... to declare his love, with honest words filled with emotion, taking a chance by baring his heart to the world, with the music in his soul...and that is what writing the perfect love song is all about in my book.

This has a place in MY Heart and on my hard drive :D ....

Kudos to you Gerry and Lee.

TRUE-UERT.... Your post count is un-effing-believable!!! MAN!!!

I'm not big on strings but they do work here. My favourite addition is the harp. I like both versions but this one has a more top40 production aspect to it. The vocal is beautifully done, but if this was to be truly radio ready, you'd have to envelope up some of the words which are getting buried. It's a great song

Yup. Gerry's vocals are great but needed to be out front more. Lots of lost phrasing and diction. Wish I had the vocal track. It would of been neato.

Thank you. Your response is appreciated. :)

Monkey Allen - nope, not Van Morrison, this is an ido1957 original :) Thanks for listening man....how that hand doing?

True - thanks for the many kind words. I'm glad I was able to stir the emotions I was aiming for with this song. It is, as are all my tunes, written and dedicated to the one I love :) . That makes it a bit easier to compose (the lyrics at least)....

Timothy - it is a great arrangement isn't it - Lee did a great job! Thanks for the feedback and suggestions....

Lee - I'm glad you chose my song to collab on... it's a pleasure working with you.... nice icing!

Bulls Hit - I think you have a good point about the Top 40 sound... Lee's arrangement has really lifted it up several notches. Changing the vocals on the original mix would be hard to do. It was a stereo "live" take with no separation on vocals or instruments... :o

:) :D :) :D

Man, I'm sorry I missed this for so long. I like the added stuff. Yeah its a little busy, but so what? It doesn't take anything away as far as my ears are concerned. Nothing is gaudy or over-the-top. It all seems to fit. Phil Spector would be proud. :p

Great job guys. :)

Hand is going good. 18 month full recovery though, so a bit to go.

All the best for the end of this year and the start of the next one. :)

Her's the 320K version....I tried to Pm Sound with the link, but he has exceeded his storage... :D

In My Heart

I like it. Sounds much better, as the cymbals didn't wash.

I "cleaned house". Sorry about that, Dog. Have a great holiday to all of you at HOMEWRECKERZ!
