I have cubase 5, an Omni-studio card setup (soundcard not the issue), and a shure sm-57. Whenever i record vocals or guitar, drums, anything, my songs end up sounding computerized and mechanical, sort of hard to explain, but not way musical. I'm not sure what it is, but when i record in other programs, it sounds great, and i wanna learn to use cubase with this same sound, cause i know how to use it pretty damned well. I record in stereo, but whatever I record is on the left side (i guess that's normal). If any of you have any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.
