Importing tracks into a program

First time I'm doing this... I've got the tracks from the VF-16 onto a jaz disc on my computer, and I want to import all of the trakcks into a program. Now I have two questions...

1) Which program do you all recommend (beside Pro Tools) for audio ediiting? (the most versatile?)
2) Which program would allow me to important all 16 tracks in a few clicks, instead of importing each track individually?


Your input is appreciated. :)
 
program

i like ntrack but there are many fine programs out there, dont know of any the import all oat onece all i have seen you need to import tracks one at a time, whle point of mixing on the pc is the ability to keep all the tracks seperate...
