Is there an easy way to import an entire project from Cakewalk into Cubase?
being two rival/different companies, I guess that's why there's nothing about it in the manual.

I'm using CubaseSX and I want to import from Cakewalk 7 professional

Can it be done?

Will I have to import it track by track? yikes!

I just want to import the raw tracks over and still be in sync with each other, it doesn't matter if I lose all their original EQ settings and effects.

make sure all your tracks start in the same place in cakewalk. If you have to trim some silence and move it to the start point if you have tracks not starting at the begining of the song and glue.

In cubase when you go to import, when the folder opens with all the tracks you want to import, hold down the CTRL key and select ALL the tracks. They will import into seperate tracks in cubase all with the same start point.

The main thing is to make sure everything lines up perfectly in cakewalk, if you do that the tracks will line up in any other multitrack program you care to use.

Thanks Lemontree, I'll give it a go - all the tracks appear to be lined up in Cakewalk so it's should be ok. I got some killer tracks down on the old project, I wasn't looking forward to doing them again.
I should be on the right path now :) thanks again!
