my guess is it's pretty standard entry level optical compressor
maybe a bit better then Alesis 3630 (or exactly the same)

didn't read it, but glancing through it what it didn't say was as significant as what it did . . . no info concerning components used, almost entirely it was a list of features with some entry level instrunction on use, virtually nothing technical at all
if you are looking at to control errant spikes in live situations I would expect it to function adequately . . .
