I'm trying to record distorted guitar into my laptop

I'm trying to record distorted guitar into my laptop, the laptop is easily good enough, I can record excellent vocals and acoustic guitars, or clean electric sound, but I've never been able to get a good electric sound directly fom my marshall mode four.

Can anyone tel me what i need to do to acomplish good recording quality?
