Ok so hey peepz, i just registered because this forum looks pretty cool and will hopefully answer some questions.
So i have a new custom built PC, a mobile pre maudio usb, and cubase se, and an sm 57 mic. I bought this to begin learning how to record on a computer because i wantt o do this stuff for college and probably make a career out of it. My questions are:
1. Do i need a physical mixer to plug my mics into, or should i go into the interface and then do all mixing in cubase or whatever program i will have.
2. I know the mobile pre only has two inputs, and i am a drummer. So in order to mic my drums i would need at least 4-6 channels. Should i get the firebox, it looks good. tell me your opinions on it.
3. What do i need to make good recordings, i want to buy things over time so my budget isnt too low, i have a job haha.
