Im recording my beats from a Triton onto my Computer with a MOTU2408 and onto Cool Pro 2.0

My Question is....

How do I go about The Final Mixdown and geting my beats to sound SHARP and Crisp!!! eq?

Also....
How do you go about using ya Bus Mixxa
what does it do and how do i use it?

by the way Hip-Hop is my type of music

thnx

If the sounds aren't sharp and crisp going in they wont be sharp and crisp going out. EQ will only add hiss.

I'm not familliar with a bus mixxa. Is that some form of public transportation party?

so r u sayin i should leave the EQ out when
recording the beat?

Bus as in

8 Bus Mixing Console? any help?

EQ wont neccessarily give you sharp and crisp. The Triton should be capable of pretty high quality sounds. If the sounds are not what you want going in it is hard to change them much after the fact.

If EQ does give you the results you want then cool. Your ears are the judge.

What kind of monitors are you using? Crappy monitors or regular stereo speakers may lead you to believe your sound sucks when it may be crisp already.

Mackie has the best manuals available. Read up or check out their website for different hook up diagrams and tips. Is there anything specific you want to know about your mixer?

i record with no EQ so that I can set the EQ when mixing instead. of course the best situation is when you get the right sounds from your workstation so you don't have to EQ them.
