im needing help on setting a up studio. i have a 20 channel mackie board with direct outs on each channel. im looking for a sound card to hook up to my sound board, but all the cards that i have look at only have 8 ins and 8 outs on the back. im needing a 20 ins and outs. if anyone knows of a card please send me a message.


P.S. im planning on going to school at SAE Institute in nashville.
as anyone been to that school or knows about the please let me know.
 
I haven't heard of a sound card that will allow for that many ins/outs.
Here's an option you might want to consider...
ST Audio's C-Port
The C-Port package has a 24-bit 96kHz PCI host card (DSP 24), the XG-DB1 digital expansion daughter board bracket and the ADC-DAC2000 external converter unit. It will allow you to add up to 3 more ADC-DAC2000s with having to use another PCI slot. The C-port alone will give you 10in/10out. The additional ADC-DAC2000s give you 8 more inputs a piece. It is similar to the Delta1010 but it allows you to expand a little more.

You really need 20 I/Os at once? That is some setup! Hope this helps...
