ok I know this question is asked a hundred times before. But I was convinced of buying the behringer truths, because I worked one time with these and I was convinced. I need to say that I am a newbie. So. I 've been talking to a lot of people in the bussiness lately and they tell me; don't buy it, it sounds terrible! But maybe all these people are just saying this because they just heard the name "behringer" and they just don't listen any further. Maybe it's not, but then I'm looking for an other monitor in the same price range. Can anyone give me some advice? greetz..

Rip Rowan gave it a sorta-thumbs down on it's overall perf at Pro-Rec a while back!
Overstated mids and lack of bottom definition was what I noticed
during a audition at Manny's Music. I guess in order to covert it into a flat response monitor, a few db cuts via eq in the mids and lower end freqy's might aid in achieving adequate translation, but
that would indicate a major reason from not purchasing unit.
Or perhaps the user can "learn" how to judge his mixes by tuning one's ears to the Truths, but again, if a second pair of decent reference monitors with exceptional flat response are used, more than likely that individual will notice the sub-level perf from the Truths as a waste of money.
M advice is, if you can, A/B/C-XYZ, them against other monitors in it's category, see if u can hear a pure translation from a c/d of your music vs the Truths.

BTW, check out the Yorkvilles! They get a lotta' props here!

Good Luck!
