Alright here we go. This has been done for a while but I wasnt sure weather or not to let people here it.

My buddy Patrick is singing/screaming and the rest of it is me.. well minus the drum loops.

If you have time I have a bunch of songs up at www.demensiax.com/songs .. I'm having a hard time decidings which ones I should put up and which ones I should forget about.

Anyway the songs called "I Don't Want to Lose You"

For some reason he really thought he was John Davis that day.

I really like this kind of tunes, and I think this one is really cool! though, it need some improvements - the "acoustic" guit in is slightly out of tune and the metal guits sound thin and not hard enough - my guit used to sound like that till I found a plugin called "warp" who's simulating a tube amp; like also the solo at 2:26 but I would pan it some -- I'd love to hear the next version!!

cheers

The guitars sound a bit fuzzy and tinny to me.

The tune seems a bit generic or something....not captivating.

Maybe it's just not my thing.

I like the mix overall even if it is a bit washy....almost dreamy.

Vocal is too low.

The clean guitar has a flat string, and the chorus makes it stick out even more.

The distorted guitars are too scooped and buzzy.

Song is kinda repetitive. Needs something to make it more interesting.

Guitar sound is horrendus!!:( Sorry but...ya know? But Patrick has some real potential.Keep making him scream.Let him kill his voice and give him 2 days rest ,lots of water and OJ,then do it again and again for about 2 months and he'll have that raw Cobain type scream.Guitar outta tune...bad ending edit and your amp is buzzing bad. What happened to the sound you got on Fifth Ace?That was great sounding!Anyway keep em crankin'!Check your PM...

Oh no!!!! and I just posted...fuck!!!No hatin' goin on...mixy

There is no amp WISC .. This was recorded with the Digitec RP6.. Fifth Ace was with a pod. Patrick has great potential.. the kid is so pissed off, he just doesnt practice enough. This was the first time we got together.. we did an acoustic version and then this.

Thanks for all the replies, I got so many songs I have to redo I dont know what to do first.

M. Brane... I didnt put any chorus on the guitars.

How would you pan the solo Groove?

Then who did? :D

LMAO!

dem,

Man, have I got a Milford gig story ......( those were the days!)

I like the feel and guts of the song.
Guitar intonation very questionable and the whole mix could be fatter. Vocals need 2-3 db boost. Patrick is sick! (that's a compliment).......does he gargle w/razor blades? Way cool for this genre. Ronnie, lead vox in my son's band chews cloves between gigs & swears by them. Hey, they're up in your neck of the woods in Worcester @ the Palladium and another joint , the Marquis! Have you heard them?

I'm not to hip to the ping-pong panning that starts @ 1:50+/- unless you're emulating him running across the stage from side to side, even so , he'd still be between the 'voice of the theatres'. ( boy, does that date me !) Less severe pans would be my choice.

Why the fade in on the drums? I'd put it in their faces immediately with this tune!

Fix the ending. Slam the door on it !

peace,
Ralph
