whoa, that comparison is crazy! what a difference! I got the lite version, and i downloaded the demo of live 8.2 off their website. I think i'm going to buy it!

yeah i used a cracked version just to try it out (don't ask me why i didn't get the demo) but I loved it and definitely buying it, I saw the comparison of live lite...and the differences ARE substantial. I was thinking about saving up for suite, but I figured with an educational discount, I get the box version of Live 8 for 329 and if I wanted any external instruments to just buy them separately. I'm so excited though...definitely want the APC40 to control it.

id highly recommend Sampler...not sure how much it is, I got it free in a deal they had on when I bought mine...but I find it essential, one of my favourite tools...i also love Drum Rack...you get that with it though..another triffic little tool
I signed up with Puremagnetik and got the Live bundles every month..I think its something ridiculous like $5 a month..I need to renew that..great little company, some of the Kits are a bit hit or miss but at $5 there's way more quality than not

funny ive been learning logic....dunno if ill bother, im glad i only payed the educational price...the instruments are great mind you
with ableton i spent the first little while making the backbone of the tune in the scene view, say drums, bass, main melody...then recording this into the arrangement view live and continuing the rest of the project in the arrangement view...but to be honest i just use the arrangement view now
Im no expert on the programme, but I have my workflow going pretty quickly...i went through a full swa ableton tutorial and read ableton power as well as musictechs Live edition...so i could probably answer anything specific but overall? just delve in
