I'm a serious newbie who needs some help.

Hi everyone, i want to have my own studio and i want to be able to record music. What do i need to do this?
 
LOTS of recording gear and 5-7 years of hands on experience. Really.
 
Seriously though you need to give a little more info other than you are very serious.

How many tracks at a time ?
How much cash can you spend ?
Are you planning on going the standalone or PC route ?
What is your shoe size ?
 
uuhhh uuhhhh, hhhmm. lol, well i suppose pc route. And my shoe size is 10. lol
 
how much cash? well, i want to know what to shoot for in regard to that.
 
And what is with the "how many tracks at a time" thing?

to tell u the truth, i really dont know what to do here. And idk what "route" to take either.
 
When I say how many tracks at time, I mean how many instruments do you want to record at once. I you are only doing one at a time, then it's obviously cheaper. If you want multiple instruments recorded at once, then you need to spend a little more money.
