Consider the M-Audio Keystation 88es. See, I just found out about the es version. I wanted the Keystation, but read a couple bad reviews about the keys on it. Plus, I didn't really need the control surface, just the keys.

I got the Keystation 88es and started using it today. It has semi weighted keys instead of fully weighted piano action. GOOD for me cause I do drums on the keyboard too and piano action is too slow to do 32nds on a hihat on a keyboard. But it works very well on semi weighted. The es version does not have the noisy keys as reported in the full Keystation88 and they are quick to respond. It is a breeze to hook up via usb, WinXP recognizes it and I was using it in Sonar in just a minute. It is a large keyboard, bigger than I thought it would be. Also it is heavier and better built than I thought it would be for the price.

The one bad thing is that one black key, C6#, kind of sticks a little. I will never to rarely use that or I would return it. But that will never bother me in the least so I'm not bothering. But it is something to keep an eye out for.

Best thing is that I got this for $229, which I think makes it the most affordable full 88 key controller out there. I got it here: Keystation 88 es

They were pretty quick to ship it to me and had the best price I could fine. They also sell the full Keystation88 for $449, which is less than enyone else I could find online. So, though I have no connection to them, I have to say check them out for a good deal.
