2112 TRIBUTE BAND
I want to extend thanks to all the kind words on here, thanks to spacedye, especially.....to cover Rush is a challenge, yes, and we do it as a 5-piece, which some people might frown upon, and that's OK with us too!
5 is a bit more entertaining to us, and frees us up a bit to have some fun instead of doing pedal-dances. I am a guitar player, and could've formed a 3-piece, but then Geddy does not play lead guitar, and conversely, Alex does not sing, so it was all ready lost for me if you know what I mean...
Now I enjoy trying to get people involved in the show with singing along, etc, quite hard to do as a 3-piece, and a 3 piece is more of a "see how many things I can do at once like Rush does"...I have NO PROBLEM with at all too, we just wanted to take it up a bit in the "entertain a live audience" aspect, so I hope that explains a bit on our 5-piece reasoning...plus we are too good of friends to kick each other out to make it 3!!!!
Check out our website,
www.RUSHTRIBUTEBAND2112.com, and maybe see a live show now that we project videos like Subdivisions synched to our performance...tricky to do but well worth it!
Again, it is so satisfying to know that in the year we have been together, there have been many 'fans' to lend support when we think that we suck.....
THANKS!!!!
Until next time,
Tony

PS, VOXVENDOR, drop the good word up in the Great White North for us, eh, we submitted our demo to RushCon2002 (rushcon.org) July 13 in Toronto hoping to be the one band chosen to travel up there and perform !!
