hey, i was just listenin to "god called in sick today" by A.F.I. and they got the coolest verb/delay on the lead vocals, especially in the beginning. I've been screwin around to get a sound like that.

JUst seein if any of guys that really know what your doin are bored and wanna check it out and lemme know what you would do if u wanted to try and re-create it. thanx

I don't really want to listen to it but you could try listening to the track in crossover (canceling mono) so that you only hear the stereo portion of the music. Usually vocals are recorded mono and have a stereo effect applied to them. When the mono material is not present all you hear is the verb. That will help you hear exactly what was applied and you could try to match it easier.

i dont really hear much reverb or delay it could very well be the room what type of reverb are you wanting to use to recreate it

I hear a slapback delay or maybe a small room 'verb with some predelay. Doesn't sound like anything fancy. Maybe come compression to keep it sounding "close" too.

cool thanx for the help, yah i tried that mono thing and it sounds maybe like its a bunch of quick delay's, like a tape echo or somethin? all ive got for verb right now is the waves rverb plug-in
