I live in Wisconsin...there are alot of Polka Bands around...I need to know how much to charge them... I have about 10 years experience recording my own compostions and other peoples demos for free but i/ve never charged anyone. I need to know if I should say,"$100.00 per song or something like $20-$30.00 per hour. Just the average rate for recording a polka band in a live studio setup.
What would be to my advantage? I have heard from friends that polka bands are usually one take kinda people meaning that they wont use many hours up in the studio. So would it be smart to charge them by the song or the hour?
Anyone else in a similar situation I'd love to hear about? Ideas?? suggestions
