I WANT (really WANT) to replace my Behringer mixer, and was looking for a24 ch board...

I would really like to go for a Mackie 24-8 but I cannot seem to find one used...

What about the Gs3 ?

Thanx for any help...

I bought a GS3 a couple of months ago, just went through it to see that everything worked, recorded some basic tracks. I then moved and it's been sitting in my parents' basement. With my limited experience with the sound quality I really can't say if it's better or worse than the Mackie. It has a much nicer EQ than the 1604 VLZ though, for whatever that's worth. ;)
What I can say is that I really like some of the routing features: monitor "kill switch" (great for swift headphone checks), the possibility to switch from my main monitors to a second system with the flick of a switch on the mixer. The 100mm faders are wonderfully smooth too, coming from Behringer-country myself... It has a kind of unorthodox FX/Aux routing but it just needs some getting used to, IMO.
I'll be recording a lot with it this summer, I might just post my findings as it seems that not very many people have used this board (especially in the US).
