Hi,
I'm working on a solo album and as a home recording beginner i listen a lot to some records i really like, to analyse and learn from it.
I've been listening a lot to the last IceAge record: Plowing Into the Field of Love.
It has loud warm sounding vocals, sharp electric guitars, punk style drums, clean bass, acoustic guitars, piano and some trumpets or so.
I love the way it sounds and how it is mixed.
Does anybody have some tips about gear, recording and mixing techniques to achieve something like this:
