I would like to know the difference between the H67 and the P67 models, and which one is more suitable for DAW use.

As far as I know, it just means you can get Intel IGP/GMA video output over the HDMI and DVI ports on the motherboard. You have to get a compatible processor for that to happen, but when you have the right CPU and the Hxx motherboard, you don't have to buy a video card, and you'll still be able to view 1080p content with no skips or stutters.

The main difference is the H67 does not overclock and as disord3red said it has onboard video and sound.
 
So EPADEMC, how is your Sandy Bridge? Does it play nicely with everyone?
 
All s1155 CPUs have a built in GPU so all processors are compatible.

Other than that the differences are, H67 can use the built in GPU and the P67 can't. The P67 supports overklocking which is only possible on two models right now anyway (the 2500K and the 2600K, the K is the secret). Finally, the H67 only has one PCI-e x16 where the P67 has two that can run x8/x8. That's it.

There's a Z68 on the way that will be able to do all of the above on one motherboard plus it will have a hybrid storage feature where you can combine a small SSD with a larger HDD and let the controller move the files around so the ones most frequently used gets placed on the SSD.

im have a hp computer
do any other motherboard work with it or do i just look
or do i have to look up hp for the motherboard
