I like the style. Nice voice. The keyboard solo was a bit too busy for the song. Need to work on that ending a little, maybe a fade out.

Good tune! Maybe the back up vocals could come up more...What did you use on the lead vocals....what were you recording with?...like to hear more...gibs

Hey, great tune!! Ya I would like to know what your using to record too. The song has a lot of energy!!

Adam.

I agree on the keyboard solo, but it was a cool patch! Everything sounded great. Like everyone else, I'd love to know how you recorded it. Post some more tunes, I want to hear more.

Wow, thanks much for the nice comments!
It's funny that you guys mentioned the keyboard solo. In fact, the keyboard player was a little frustrated because he thought that it was too busy himself. So much so that he only played one note for the solo at the end! :) He's an interesting guy.
The ending was actually supposed to turn out better than it did. At least it sounded better in my head! Maybe a fade out is a good idea.
I was surprised how much bass actually is present on this computer when I play this song. All my mixes tend to be a little bass-heavy, though.

As far as equipment:
I have 2 ADAT LX20s running through a Panasonic DA7 mixing console. I splurged on this mixer, but I think it was worth it. I use the onboard pre-amps, compressors, gates, and EQ on this board rather than outboard gear. At least for now.
Ummm reverbs ... I have an Alesis Wedge and Lexicon MPX100. I also have a couple older units (ART Multiverb3 and SPX90), but rarely use them these days.
The drums were miced using 7 channels (no hi-hat mic, can you tell?), but I submixed them to 2 tracks on the ADAT.
The acoustic guitar was recorded with an AKG C3000. Which I think was a mistake. I've been recording acoustic lately with a small diaphragm condensor instead and it sounds much more detailed.
The bass guitar was recorded with a mic on the amp (I think AKG D112), no direct box.
I used an Oktava MK219 large diaphragm condensor mic for the vocal (both lead and backing vocals).

Thanks again for the great comments, this is a great site!
I will post more tunes as soon as I can.
Thanks
David

DJay:
Cool song....good vocal track, I thought the backing vocal was placed well. Drums seemed a little off time. The song moved along very nicely...I really liked it, looking forward to hearing more!
