GUITARDAZE
Hey Guys, I finally released my CD. The C1 Really helped out on the vocals, I was using a Rode NT1 and then switched to the C1, It was like night and day. I would really like to sell a few copies, so if any of you are interested please go to the order section on my website. Feels good to have an actual finished product in my hand. Hopefully the next one will be even better.

I would also be interested in any of you who have finished CDs, useing the gear talked about on this website. Please post a link to a page where others can purchase or listen to your CD/s as well.
Please discuss what shaped the sound of your CD, gear, recording techniques, etc.

Peace,

Rich

Well, here's the link to my band's website. www.geisert8band.com

We just recently finished our album and are waiting arrival of the CD duplicates we ordered. If for some crazy reason you'd like to order one, you can email "mike" from the profiles page. You can listen to an mp3 from the site as well. Anyways.

The info we used to record. I recorded everything using 6 AKG D770s, 1 SM57, and 1 AKG C1000. The mixer I used was a Peavey Unity 2002 16 channel. This all ran into my Korg D16. After the D16, I ran the .wavs into my computer and did editing/mixing via Wavelab. That's basically the setup. The monitors I was using were the NS10s. We got it mastered at a joint called Colossal Mastering. Wicked place.

Very cool stuff. You guys look like you are all really good friends, and that you have a lot of fun. i dig the music to.
The Sax sounded good. How did you record it?

Didn't see any mention of "gear used". Must have over looked it. I'd love to trade CDs with you, and swap feedback. I finished "Cheap Therapy", my first CD about a year ago.

I did almost everything myself. Over-all, I was pleased with the outcome. I'm sure I'll do better next time thanks in-part to this web site and a lot more experience.

Equipment I used: Boss BR-8 and an SM-58. I've since bought a Mackie mixer, an SP C-1, Composer Pro Limiter/compressor etc., Korg N-364 and I'll soon be starting my 2nd CD. I use Neato software to create my CD sleeve.

Awesome photos and CD sleeve. Did you do them yourself. Utah certainly is a gorgeous place.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks CJ,

I used a Roland VS-1880, Taylor guitars, oktava mics, SP C1 mic, joemeek pres amps, hhb raduis 40 tube pre, Some sm 57s and alot of direct recording of things.
Utah is definatley beautiful, I guess when you live somewhere for awhile you forget how beautiful it is. Of course, I lived in Michigan for a while and thought that was beautiful also, but in a different way.
