I feel you on that one but for the first one I want to see a no sample battle with no set just use what you got.

so is this going to be a battle using samples... no samples...... or whatever you want?........ ill probly start on my track tonight seeing as i have nothing better to do
 
wtf this makes no sense...

for a beat battle you still need a set of sounds.

everyone on the same playing field.

nobody using their own sounds.

thats what im sayin.

okay to battle and see who has skills...

you have to use the same set of sounds and see who can flip them and how they can.

that means no drums besides the ones included in the battle kit. no sounds other than whats included in the battle kit.

only real things you should be able to do is add fx like reverb, delays, etc...

everyone has the same drums, sounds etc...

cause it wont be fair otherwise.

and trust me... i have drums/sounds for days... and i know that wont be fair vs. someone who just has stock FL drums or some ish like that..

everyones gotta work with the same shit. plain and simple. or else this battle aint nothing but just a random showcase of your random shit.
 
It wont be even cus even if you have a thousand drums if you don't know what you are doing you gon sound like garbage.Its about arrangements and originality and what sounds good .If you don't like this type of battle don't enter.We will have that type of battle just not this time.Just wait for the next one.
 
ight so we makin a beat wit just the sounds we have and we can't use any songs to sample right? at least make it a theme so everyone is in the same playin field like a eastcoast westcoast dirty south or wutever u know?
 
yuh, i say im in for whatever... but some sorta of set theme or set sounds is a must... its not really a battle without that??
 
Ok cool if somebody got some suggestions post them and we will vote on them.LOL.If someone wants to make up a set of sounds thats cool too.
 
how many yall have actually even been in a beat battle?
 
i haven't but i figured this would be the best place to start seeing as i've gotten most of my good advice from here or people on here
