I wanted to put the speakers (2x - Peavey T-300s) in the corners of my room with 2 computer desks in between them but I am nerotic will they mess up my computers having the speakers and amp so close to my computers? like as in fry my harddrive or magnetically mess it up?, Just wanted a professional opinion. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the speakers, but if they're shielded, you have nothing to worry about. If they're not, make sure you have about 4 feet. You can screw up your monitor and yes, screw up your hard drive. Nothing to worry about with the amp.

How do I tell if they are sheilded

What exactly does that mean?

Shielded speakers are "magnetically shielded" to keep the magnetic field from hurting anything outside the enclosures. When you were a kid, did you ever take a speaker and put it against the TV and watch the colors blur (I did :) ) That can permenently screw up your monitor (or TV as it were) and of course, your hard drive. Mine are shielded, and I just looked, but it didn't say that on the speakers. You'll probably have to look up the specs on your particular speakers to find out.
