Just keep chipping away, bro. Eventually she'll let you get the guitar just to make you shut the fuck up.

Trust me on this. Just segue into taylor-talk from every possible conversation point.

Pretend she cares and discuss the guitar and it's fine points constantly.

I give it three months and you've got a new guitar.

Marry the sister. I feel for ya. I have a self imposed GAS restriction/moratorium for one year. ( I posted this before). Kinda like a priest?:eek: Look what they have done. I hope I don't develop some really bad habits over the next six months. Yehaa! only six more months to go. :)

Go buy something for her.

When is the last time she got something she really wanted?

Good choice to pass on a wife infuriating purchase. Gotta draw the line somewhere and a happy marriage is a pretty good place to start.

Besides... there is ALWAYS something else out there to buy. As my dad said it "Having doesn't satistfy wanting."

You have my sympathy, though! Back when I was married the wife second guessed every damn thing I wanted to buy. Meanwhile, she racked up the bills on shoes and clothes that she "needed". Glad I'm not married to that one anymore. I should send the guy she left me for another "Thank You!" note...

See. Divorce her and get two guitars.

Thankfully, my wife isn't like that. She is very understanding, but we aren't rich, and are possibly facing some financial uncertainty at the end of the year.

It's difficult to buy stuff for her. She isn't terribly materialistic, nor does she have an addictive personality that requires something to fill an emotional void every 5 minutes (unlike some addicts I know, your's truly included). No, in truth, I am a lucky man. The 12 string will come when it will come.

In September, we'll go to London, and do the touristy things one does there (I'm thinking of crossing Abbey Road in my underwear, but that's probably been done).

Cheers! ;)
