I need some sympathy!!!!!!!

After just recently buying an Artcore AS103 NT, and a Hanika nylon string within the last month, my wife has put her foot down and said NO! to a new 12 string!

Maybe I should've posted this over at the SAS forum? Is there a G.A.?

My skin is starting to crawl, I'm sweating, and I can't sleep at night! Has NOTHING to do with the fact that it was 35° C here the last couple of days!

I NEED A TAYLOR 12 STRING NOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brother, I feel your pain.

After acquiring a MIA Tele, a Vox AC30, and a Gibson Melody Maker over the course of the past 7 months, I'm trying to figure out how to break the plans for my next acquisiton to my wife.

It won't be a pretty sight. :eek:
 
Make a pass at her sister and she'll forget all about 12-string guitars!:D
 
Hey look, you only live once, right? Do you play those other two all the time? Treat yourself to it if it makes you happy.

Those three guitars are TOTALLY different animals. I say you need a few different tools in your tool box.

Your wife is performing an act of inhumane cruelty on you. Just go out and buy it. Life is way too short not to have things that make life worth living. The geezer before had the right idea-make a pass at her sister (or maybe marry the sister).
My girlfriend of 12 years is an ex-guitarist so I managed to get those gear purchase issues sorted out right away.

I've had a Taylor and a Martin and a Guild and a Larrivee, I still have a Larrivee.. although I played the Taylor Kottke and went away with that "feeling"

I acquired a fender bass amp, fender guitar amp and a bass in the last three months,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and I think my run is done!

go for gusto!!!
 
Hmm....

The local shop doesn't open for another hour. Maybe I should leave now, and sit on their doorstep until they open?

Sadly, I am going to have to tolerate my Takemine 12 string until next year.

That's what I promised, anyways....

It was either a 12 string, or London in September.

I'm going to go with London....

And this is why I'm not gettin married. I can't take my woman telling me not to buy something and makin me cry. My g/f already tries to do it (3 years) and I never listen. And dood.....12 years??....that is the longest I've ever herd not being married.
 
Don't feel too bad.

I've wanted a new guitar for awhile. A Martin. For years now.

Recently, I got $1600 check in the mail. Most money I've ever had at one time. :o

I could have drove 2 minutes to the local guitar shop and gotten the Martin.

But I instead used it to pay off a credit card I've been in debt for, for over a year now. Also bought books for school and other shit that I need.

Maybe next time...:mad::(

Keeding. Credit Card companies are the Debl's spawn.

I tried a few 12 strings today. Only the Taylor suited. Tried Seagulls, nice sound, but the necks are horrible. Yamaha and Takemine...sounded like plywood. No dynamics, not worth the money, especially the Takemines I tried.

Next year.... A Taylor or a Martin.

And my wife is a singer, and is very understanding of my gear lust. I've spent a small fortune in the last couple of years, with her blessing. But enough is enough.
