i need some setup info?

Alright this is what i have, a decent computer, oem soundcard so i realize i need a decent one.The problem is which is a decent one, there r so many products out there. I have tons of mics and condensors and odds and ends. I have a roland vs880, mackie mixer and i want to get my computer set up so i can utilize it in recording to .i just dont want to buy a bunch of shit i dont need .
