The phantom power on my Yamaha MG/10 mixing console appears to have given out. Everything else is working but now I'm stuck with using my SM57 only (my condensers are offering hardly any signal).

I see that Nady and ART have phantom power sources. How are they? Or am I better off getting an MAudio Audio Buddy?

I still want to run the signal through my mixer before going to A/D

thanks

Cheap Phantom power

Try one of these!

This is a single Phantom power supply for $29. bucks. . . http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...6080841/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/185271/ (if you are using more than one condenser mic, it still would be cheaper to buy two of these than to get This 4 input Audio Technica model. . .

But, the good thing about these is that they both run on AC power, (rather than always searching for a 9v battery like some of the other Phantom power boxes .. .Let us know how you make out. .

Good luck!!!

First try another cord, try that mic with another phantom power source, or try another mic with that mixer. Occam's razor would suggest that it's a bad connection and not the mixer.

The AT phantom power box is good, I have one and it works well.
