I need some help with ideas for my home studio....

I want to put a nice cloth on the walls of my studio... So, my thoughts were to take a piece of plywood panel, cover it with the cloth (maybe some foam in between that) and then mount the panels on the wall. I was also thinking that the panels can overlap each other and give it a 3-d effect. or to make the panels on both sides "flare out" like this....
.._____
/.........\

or like this
_____..........._____ with about 1" space.
......_________

(take out the ......, the bbs doesnt like spaces)

or something like that. Got any ideas?

thanks

tcdave - many people see pro studios with cloth walls and try to duplicate it. In Fact - behind the cloth is what is important as just cloth on its own has no real acoustic effect. The cloth usually covers heavy insulation or acoustic traps etc.
