I just purchased a usb recording pack from behringer and need help with basically everything, i already tried everything in the instruction manuals that were provided but i still cant record. I need detailed info on how to connect everything so i can record, i dont have time to mess around with everything by myself its urgent. PLEASE HELP, heres everthing that i have.
A laptop with Windows Vista 32-bit
EnergyXT 2.5 (software)
Condenser Mic
Monitors
and finally a Xenyx 1204USB Mixer
:confused::confused:
Please keep in mind that the setups provided dont let me record, am i supposed to connect things differently??? Is it something with the program?

MIC > Xenyx (USB)> computer
You need to select the USB-connected mixer as the soundcard in the software.

And as for the monitors, do they connect to the computer or the mixer

Is the phantom power turned on?
Your condenser mic needs to be powered via the mixer.

It is turned on but iget no sound from the mic to the computer, I hear the sound from the monitors but not the computer, also when I press record the sound waves appear as if i record but when I press play I dont hear anything

Sounds like a monitoring issue within your DAW. What software are you using? May be as simple as a mouse click.

I meant a switch somewhere to hear playback. Your monitors will always be connected to your mixer.

That red 2TR/USB TO MAIN switch is your first check. Downloading the demo of ext to see if I find anything else. Yes, I'm bored. :)

Mymixer is connected to the comp. My mic to the mixer. Monitors to the mixer an phantom power and power is on

Check your inputs and outputs in EXT. Make sure you have selected your mixer: File>Setup>ASIO/whatever your driver is called. This will enable your mixer and list its inputs and outputs. Try that and see where you are at then. :)
