Hi,
I have a fostex vf 80 recorder, I want to be able to run my recorded tracks from the recorder into the computer into Cakewalk music creator or sound forge 6.0. for editing or mastering. I have a dell computer 18gb space I need to know if this possible or what do I need to make this happen. Thanks

does your VF80 have the CDRW built in?

If so, then it's easy! Just go to the manual to the save program page, and save your program as .wav files onto a CDRW.

Take that over to your computer, and simply load the wavs into your music program.

If you havent got the CDRW....well, then it gets messy. You will need a SPDIF input on your computer's soundcard.

vf to pc transfer

If the VF 80 has a SCSI connector, then you could use that with a Zip or Jaz drive, or a SCSI HD.

The problem with transfering by optical is syncing the tracks if there are more than 8
