Do you have a manual for it? It should tell you all you need to know there. If you don't have it, have a search and see if you can find a pdf of it.

Hope this helps

You just kind of turn them until it sounds nice.

Honestly no one can tell you how to set the eq, it depends on the source you're recording, the acoustic properties of the room and a host of other variables. If they just needed to be set up to get a universal 'nice sound' then manufacturers would just build those presets into consoles and not bother with knobs so you can adjust those values.

Before you turn to the eq make sure you spend a lot of time playing around with the position of the mic. Get the best sound possible and then use the eq to 'tweak' the sound. if you have a crappy sound to start with the eq isn't going to make it into a good sound.

A part of learning about sound recording is playing with that stuff yourself and actually listening, and hearing the effect it's having on the source.

There aren't any 'magic' settings I'm afraid. Sorry if this doesn't sound very helpful but that's the way it is.

I did it,i got a nice sound base on what you guys told me
I started playin with them knobs and it worked :D

Thank you both very much for your time :)

Yup, and one quick addition. Sometimes a change can seem like a good idea at the time, but just seems way too extreme later. I do this all the time, I say things like, "wow, there's so much high end, how did I think that sounded good yesterday?"

So I start with all EQ flat. Try to give yourself time to reflect on decisions when cranking those knobs all over the place.

And go with whatever sounds good to you. You'll learn what sounds good with your stuff. Good luck.
