Ok so here's the deal. I want to start recording drums (8 mics) but i wanna be able to tweak them individually in cakewalk. But in order to do that I need an audio interface. I'm looking for one with very low latency when using all 8 channels for recording drums and and one that works good and the whole she bang. not to mention around 300-500 bucks. Anyone who could help me would be a great thing. Will the firewire interfaces do just fine??? You tell me. PLEASE. Thanks

^ What he said.

Make SURE you get a firewire card with Texas Instruments chips.
(Pro audio interface manufacturers pretty much REQUIRE them.)

Belkin and SIIG make reasonably priced ones.
