Basicly i have a bought a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum eX sound card and external device but have no installation CD so have no way of installing it and it won't work! Can i download the drivers for it? On creative site all they have is driver updates :(

where did you buy it , that it came with no install CD? sketchy...

and you have tried letting windows find a driver for it? i.e. go into system, control panel. Then find the unknown device and select reinstall driver. windows will connect to its server to find one? you may get lucky.

The manufacturer's website will probably have the drivers. Dowload them somewhere and use the install hardware function, then point it at the drivers.

Actually, they may have some kind of executable installation program that will do the whole thing.

I bought it from a friend of mine, works fine but he lost the instalation CD.... Creative site only has driver updates not the original drivers, i have tried but XP cannot install it. IS my only option to send off for another instalation CD? which could take weeks or is there a place i can download the original drivers/cd from?

The updates are usually stand alone drivers and don't require the old one so if you download those they should work.
