Well I'm 18 and am just starting to get into recording and such, I would really like to know what I can do to make my songs sound better. I've read all sorts of things about eq and compression but I don't know what to put where. Anyway, have a listen to this and let me know what you think (I wouldn't mind comments on the actual song either). The only one on there is called "You'll Never Know".

Thanks

as a casual listener... not too educated in recording myself... i found it thouroughly enjoyable.

and once again as a casual listener... the recording quality sounded great to me.

generally a thumbs up.

Hey that's a pretty good listen. Just keep plugging away at it and stay pure to your artistic vision and eventually you'll learn how to do what you are trying to do. It sounds to me like you have a very personal idea of a mix going on here, so it isn't my job to tell you how to "mix better" - - I think you should just keep practicing and experimenting until you get what you want.

Actually, practicing and experimenting is how everyone learns, so go! Stop reading this forum and start practicing!

Sounds like you recorded and played it backwards... I like the vocals, the mix needs work, read that stuff Bear sent you. 1st thing: turn down the bass. Keep practicing and playing...and playing.

I must say, it sounds pretty good. The vocals are very nice. I would definately cut down on that explosive bassy sound present throughout the track. Also, the whole song seems to reside in the lower frequencies, which makes it sound a little muddy. All-in-all though, I enjoyed it.
