-I need an Audio/Midi interface.
-I'm willing to spend up to $300.
-I need Zero Latency monitoring. And I mean NO Latency! lol.
-I would like a decent amount of mic/instrument inputs.
-Needs to have a good PreAmp.
-USB or FireWire is fine.

I was thinking of getting THIS . Is that a good product? Any other suggestions?

you have to go with firewire on the latency issue. Usb can be adjusted to near zero latency. But you are going to deal with the latency in midi transmission which is negligable anyway. The 410 is a good unit. Only has 4 inputs though.

If you can spend more, go for the Digi002, the MOTU 2408 or the Delta 1010 ;)

Digi002 and MOTU 2408 are a little expensive...and I don't know about the Delta 1010.

And FireWire 410 doesn't have Midi :( I guess I could get a separate midi interface. But then how much would I be spending? $300 for the 410 and another $200 for a decent midi interface. I'd rather get it all together, so the firewire 410 isn't going to work.

I think I'm just going to get the US-122 for now. Later I'll probably get something better like the FirePod.

FireWire 410 does have midi, I don't know wth I was thinking...

Anyway I've decided to just get the FirePod now.
